After an injury had her hang up her rackets for good, Mili went through a tough time finding herself. Battling with lost sense of identity post professional sports, her gut and skin started reacting. She developed cystic acne in her late twenties and with that, noticeable hyperpigmentation and melasma from sun exposure followed.
Facing all of those conditions at once had her feeling horrible in her skin and although she knew it was going through a phase, she couldn't find makeup products that were sweat proof, had the coverage she needed for that boost of confidence, or that were clean enough to wear guilt-free on acne prone skin.
She spent years understanding her skin and the ingredients essential for optimal skin health, and decided she would build a beauty line that kept up with a clean athletic lifestyle that gave athletes the extra TLC their skin needed: protecting and repairing their skin all the while serving as a functional beauty product.
7 years in RnD later, here we are.
Ferrous partners with non-profit organizations that aim to promote the advancement of women and girls in sports. We use our platform online as an opportunity to inspire and motivate women and youth towards that goal.
